1. Requirements: Copyrights in Israel are recognized and
enforced without formal registration of any kind. There is
no requirement to note ownership of copyrights on any form
of authorship in any manner whatsoever. Copyrights are transferred
by a written instrument.
2. Copyrights: Under Israeli law of copyrights both economical
and moral rights of an author in his work are recognize and
enforce. Only economical rights can be transferred. Israeli
law provides a defense against a claim of infringement under
the “Fair Use” doctrine.
3. Term of Protection: 70 years following the passing away
of the author.
4. Conventions: Israel is a member of the Berne and Universal
Copyright Conventions and TRIPS.
